# Image credits

The 152 destination photos served from this directory are sourced from
Wikimedia Commons via the official Wikipedia REST API.

Per Wikimedia Commons license requirements, attribution is preserved by:

1. The original images remain available on Wikimedia Commons under their
   respective Creative Commons licenses (mostly CC BY-SA 4.0, some CC BY 4.0
   or CC0). The mapping from IATA code → original Wikimedia URL is
   maintained in `scripts/fetch-wiki-images.mjs` and was generated on
   2026-05-10.
2. To find the original image and its specific license, use the IATA code
   to look up the Wikipedia article title in `scripts/fetch-wiki-images.mjs`,
   then visit the Wikipedia article and click the lead image to see full
   attribution.
3. We use these images at <=1600px wide / 82% JPEG quality after server-side
   resize, which is consistent with derivative-work allowances under CC BY-SA.

If a copyright holder believes their image should not be hosted here,
